Our quirky and eclectic collection includes maps of the Amazon, the Moscow Metro, and the Berlin Wall, among many others. But we recently discovered (through digg.com) the most beautiful and ephemeral map we have ever seen, an “Earth wind map.” The picture included in this post does not do justice to the actual map, which is available at http://earth.nullschool.net (and at the link a few lines above), since the snapshot of the map (see picture above) is static while the real-time map on the “earth.nullschool.net” website is fluid and dynamic, constantly in motion, like the Earth herself …
