Let’s get real: teams with losing records should not be in the playoffs

The Atlanta Hawks have a losing record this season (38-44), but they are still in the NBA playoffs because they happen to have the eighth best record in the weak Eastern Conference. This is totally ridiculous and lame, right? Why not kick the Hawks out of the playoffs (after all, they have a losing record) and give the #1 seed Indiana Pacers a bye for the first round of the playoffs? Also, note that by giving the top seed in Eastern Conference a bye this season, the Miami Heat might have played harder to win the #1 seed.

Pardon our all-around suckiness …

Yeah that is a waste of time and money. 🕒 💵 If your team has a losing record you should not be in the playoffs. 🚫 Their overall suckiness should not be pardoned. 👎
