Stop the madness! Why is Disney World in Orlando, Florida making us wear masks outdoors on the attractions, even on the Kali River Rapids ride(!) in Animal Kingdom?

Is the mask mandate ridiculous? Yes.
However, the legitimacy of this overly cautious safety edict depends upon who declared it. If it came from the state or municipal government then it is wholly illegitimate!
On the other hand, if this was a protocol freely implemented by the amusement park, it is legitimate based upon the principal private rights. But this does not make such measures reasonable or prudent. If customers are a turned off by excessive mask measures then it is idiotic to insist upon not changing the policy.
Yes, our daughter told us it was the best day of her life! I agree that a private firm can impose its own rules, and now that I know Disney’s policies, I will boycott their parks and products from here on out!
That’s wonderful! Those are the kind of days she will remember well into adulthood.
The boycott, arguably the most effective form of voting. I respect that and see it as legitimate means of communicating a point to Disney.
hear, hear!
Per your comment below it sounds like Disney has a monopsony on governance power.
It’s the Kingdom of the mouse!!!
PS: I forgot to mention that back in the day Disney negotiated a special deal with Florida in which the Disney World area is its own special autonous unit for legal purposes, so in one sense, Disney is more like a government than a private firm.
Yes Governor DeSantis. Withhold funds from Disney. Divert the funds to Charter schools. I know what your ultimate aim is. Separate but equal ?
