We dodged a bullet last month when Hurricane Helene veered toward North Florida, but now another major storm (Milton) is heading our way, so I won’t be blogging for the next few days.

Stay safe Enrique.
thanks; we made it out ok!!!!
Glad to hear it. Fingers crossed my co-workers in Clearwater are ok.
My in-laws live on the water in Tarpon Springs (about six miles north of Clearwater), but they were very lucky: no major damage!
My supervisor was fairly lucky. But her aunt’s house succumbed to water damage. I am definitely not sold on moving FL.
I am glad to hear your in-laws dodge a bullet with the hurricanes.
I am content living in the desert.
I you like humid and steamy weather for 8+ months a year, then Florida is the place for you!
I can tolerate whatever Mother Nature throws at me weather-wise, but it’s the property and infrastructure damage around hurricane season; big drawback, IMHO.
