Star Trek Saturday: remembering the original cast members and guest stars we’ve lost

Earlier this week, I stumbled upon this stirring tribute to many of the now-deceased cast members and guest stars of the original Star Trek series: “Remembering the Original ‘Star Trek’ Stars We’ve Lost, From Spock to Scotty and Beyond“. Shout out to Ed Gross, who wrote this beautiful and well-researched homage for Woman’s World magazine. This collective paean really hit close to home, so to speak, because Gene Roddenberry‘s Star Trek is one of my favorite TV shows of all time — I first watched the reruns when I was a child. For further reference, here is the Wikipedia page for the “Star Trek: The Original Series“.

Left to right: DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, Leonard Nimoy, and Nichelle Nichols
