50 years ago today, Louis Armstrong made his final reel-to-reel tape. After concluding it with “April in Paris” from the “Ella and Louis” album, he went to sleep and passed away. This video contains the final minute of “April in Paris,” directly transferred from that last tape. pic.twitter.com/9zq9jWtiPj

Nice! I am a big jazz fan. Thanks for posting. However, many of my fellow jazz fans would lambaste me for enjoying jazz fusion. Using the slur that “… It’s the music you hear on the weather channel..”. What can I say I am not a purist! I like listening to Spyro Gyra, The Yellowjackets, and Chick Corea;… sue me, jazz elitists, sue me!! ( I am exaggerating this portion of my comment for the sake of humor)
Another fave of mine is Cal Tjader.
