I forgot to mention that I was interviewed last month about my work on “Gödel’s Loophole.” The interview was conducted by Yury Tsukanov, who produces original and entertaining videos about various aspects of mathematics and mathematical concepts. Here is a link to his excellent YouTube channel “MetaMaths“, and below is the interview itself (duration: one hour).
Excellent video.
Godel’s Loophole= The Self-Invalidating Constitution.
This past May (based in your past suggestions), I finally read Gaming The Vote by William Poundstone; Poundstone’s account of this paradox made contemplate the issue a little deeper.
I even watched the episode of Brian Frye’s podcasts where you discussed Godel’s Loophole immediately after reading that chapter.
I love your alternative title: “the self-invalidating constitution” (I will use it next time I write about Goedel)
It is an excellent title; isn’t it? It didn’t occur to me until you replied back. Yes, please do use it going forward. I really like the ring of it.
