As you may or may not recall, Peter Thiel–the crypto-libertarian tech billionaire who made his massive fortune via PayPal, Facebook, and other startup ventures–publicly supported candidate Donald J. Trump during the previous presidential election cycle. (See, for example, these remarks he made at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in 2016, remarks that I found very persuasive at the time.) But Mr Thiel has been awfully quiet lately! My Google search for “Thiel Trump 2020” yields some inconclusive results …

It’s possible he may not endorse any candidate. His frustrations with Trump are understandable. I know a lot of people who voted for him in 2016 who are now willing to vote for anybody but Trump.
Agreed! Deciding who the “lesser evil” is this time around is going to be really tough!
That said, I have noticed how my liberal law professor friends aren’t willing to admit how senile and mentally enfeebled Biden is!
Neither candidate is worthy my vote. I would surmise isn’t so much they love Biden. After all he isn’t a very good progressive. I believe is the knee jerk “stop Donald Trump at all costs” paradigm.
This isn’t limited to just liberal law professors! The increasing decline in the quality of the candidates makes me frustrated with the democratic process. Meeting everyone on the middle may have worked years ago. However, it now feels that it starting to turn into a race to the bottom.

“A good politician is quite as unthinkable as an honest burglar.”
Or as my colleague and friend Bryan Caplan likes to say: “both political parties are absurd churches!”
Agreed.
Reblogged this on prior probability and commented:
With one week to go before Election Day, our friend and fellow libertarian colleague Peter Thiel is still on the political sidelines, or so it seems, refusing to publicly endorse Donald J. Trump. (In 2016, by contrast, Thiel endorsed Trump.) Also, where is “The Flight 93 Election” faction? Do you even remember them?
